VeriLocation have now completed the development work necessary to link an in vehicle dash mounted Garmin Sat Nav to VL-Fleet with the benefit of using the Garmin device with it’s colour screen to send and receive messages and routes from the VeriLocation website interface to the driver using just the one integrated system. Drivers are then able to respond using stored messages or free type which then is sent back to the VeriLocation customer account and makes an audible chime alerting of a message received.
A typical example would be where a job comes into the VL-Fleet customers office which can then be sent to the identified driver / field engineer in real time via a description and route. The driver just has to accept the route and follow the onscreen instructions as normal but without having to enter the address which can be time consuming and prone to mis-entry.
